A network of buses on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays opens up the Dales for you. Details of services in Wensleydale are provided below. Full details of these and other services in the Dales are available on the Dalesbus website
Many services are new or revised this year, so don’t rely on last year’s timetable.

Wensleydale Vintage Bus - service 127
Ripon - Leyburn - Redmire - Hawes - Garsdale (Also operates on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays)
This bus service connects with Wensleydale Railway services at Redmire, giving passengers the opportunity of spending several hours in Hawes. The service runs between 4 April and 1 November 2009.
Dales & District services 156/157
Gayle - Hawes - Leyburn - Bedale - Northallerton
On Sundays there is a bus every two hours on these routes. (Buses run daily between Gayle and Northallerton, but on weekdays the route is split in two: Gayle - Bedale (services 156/157) and Bedale - Northallerton (service 73).)
The Northern Dalesman - services 831 and 832
Ribblehead to Hawes, Reeth and Leyburn
This new service runs on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 17 May until 18 October 2009, providing connections from the Settle-Carlisle railway to Wensleydale and Swaledale, and from the Wensleydale Railway to Reeth.
The Ingleborough Pony - services 832 and 833
Ribblehead to White Scar Caves, Ingleton and Clapham
This new service operates on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 17 May to 18 October 2009, opening up fantastic new opportunities to walk across Ingleborough’s dramatic summit or to visit Ingleton, the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk, Clapham or White Scar Caves.
Dalesbus 800
Leeds - Ilkley - Bolton Abbey - Grassington - Buckden - Aysgarth - Hawes
This service starts on 12 April and runs until 18 October 2009, providing three hours in Hawes and almost four hours in Aysgarth.
The Eastern Dalesman - service 820
Leeds - Otley - Pateley Bridge - Fountains Abbey - Ripon - Leyburn - Richmond
This service starts on 3 May and runs until 18 October 2009, providing over three hours in Leyburn.
