Timetable arrangements for 2008 Saturday 1 March - New timetable commences, including
- a new timetable, offering you nearly an extra hour in Wensleydale
- trains running on Tuesdays in April, May, June and October for the first time
- a full programme of Guided Walks, two being led by local author David Joy
- a guided tour of Bolton Castle led by WRA patron Lord Bolton
- a special 1940s weekend in August
- a special Children’s Weekend on 27/28 September
New train service between Northallerton and London Grand Central Railway now runs three services daily between Sunderland, Northallerton and London King’s Cross using refurbished HSTs.
Update: problems with rolling stock mean that there is a restricted timetable in operation. Please check carefully before making your travel arrangements.
Wensleydale Vintage Bus to run beyond Hawes to Garsdale The Wensleydale Vintage Bus service - now numbered service 127 - starts operation on 18 March 2008 and runs on Tuesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This year the afternoon journey is extended beyond Hawes to Garsdale station, providing the chance to travel the whole length of the closed line between Redmire and Garsdale.
